Who: Anyone interested in discovering how their work & vocation fits in with God’s Kingdom, anyone who has ever considered developing a “Kingdom business,” and/or anyone who is simply curious about their own sense of vocational calling.
What: A small group of like-minded individuals joining together for 8 hours to discover the principles of a Kingdom Vocation through large group exercises, self-reflection, and a follow-up assessment. Key principles and frameworks will be taught, but the primary goal is to help foster what God has already put in each participant.
Where: The SCC Continuing Ed Building - 301 S 68th Street Place.
When: Saturday November 22nd, 9 AM - 3 PM. A one hour follow-up call will be scheduled by you when it works for your schedule.
Cost: $50/person to cover lunch & material costs.
Why: For many American Christians, they unconsciously believe their vocation is, at best, the thing they do to make money to provide for themselves and give to “ministry,” or, at worst, secular and doesn’t matter to God. This is the farthest thing from the truth - our work & vocation is actually central to our Christian faith & practice, more than church attendance, tithing, or even prayer. Come learn the truth behind the trappist motto, “ora et labora” which means “prayer is work and work is prayer” and explore what good work God has always had prepared in advance for you to do.
